Sheer Giddy Joy and Euphoria
Point one (1): I have a new fandom journal for all non-Harry Potter fandom. It is miss_odalisque. There is only nude Kevin Jonas fanart on it at the moment (Um, NOT my own), but there will eventually be more. If you are a wizard friend, and value your sanity, STAY HERE. I will kick you links to any Star Trek action happening over there. Spare yourself the naked Jonaii.
Point two (2): I just got my computer tower back after EIGHT DAYS without it. While I was happy before going online on my phone, I cannot even begin to relate the horror that is the continual thought of "Oh, I'll look it up tonight" and then realising you can't. With like, java-heavy sites and whatnot. UNGHFDJNSFBDS. It was horrendous. I couldn't book train tickets, I couldn't shop on Amazon (I KNOW. IT WAS THE WORST THING.) My battery died because I had to look at porn on my phone. ON MY PHONE. (I'm mostly kidding. I didn't watch porn. I read a LOT of fanfic, though.)
Anyway, so I am GIDDY and EUPHORIC at the amazing wonder of NORMAL INTERNET BROWSING again. I can do ONLINE BANKING, for Pete's sake. It's incredible. I feel so spoilt. I think I did very well to keep my whining to a minimum. Especially since my cousin said it would be ready "On Monday or Tuesday" and then "Saturday night/Sunday morning" and eventually my dad had to drive round there tonight and get it off him. I mean REALLY.
...I sound like such an addict. And that's WITH regular access to Twitter, Facebook, and Gmail. If it wasn't for the fact that I worked out how to add my 'formal' email account to my crappy gmail app on my kind-of-rubbish phone, I would have been going crazy wondering if I had had any responses to my job applications. Which, sadly, I have not. BUT I COULD HAVE HAD.
...Urgh. I'm crazy. I think I just missed being able to browse at will. Everything's so much more difficult on my phone. But now I'm back. Maybe I'll get around to updating more often!! I am writing down summaries and ratings of most of the fics I've been reading so I'm going to make a rec list at some point on my new journal, and it's going to be AWESOME.
That is all.
